What's League Play?

Lorcana holds 4-week "seasons" of League, which is effectively a point tracker from week to week.

The more points you have at the end of the season, the more likely it will be you earn some cool League swag, like promo cards and pins.

The goal is to promote having fun playing games of Lorcana with members of our community

So is League Play Day a tournament?

No, it is a dedicated day to setup matches against other Lorcana Illumineers and League Participants.

Think of it as Friendly matches with reporting outcomes to store Staff.

How do I earn League Points?

  • Check-in for a League Week (Once Per Week) - 1 point
  • Win a match - 2 points
  • Lose a match - 1 point
  • - You may only earn points playing a person once a week. (If I play Joe and lose, I'll earn 1 point, but I cannot rematch him until I win and change my result to 2 points.)
  • Teach someone how to play Lorcana in the store - 2 points
  • Bring someone new (to the store) to sign up for League - 1 point
  • Wear something with a favorite animated Disney character on it - 1 point
  • We may add additional ways to earn points in the future.

Check-in, matches, and reporting must be done in-store to earn League Points.

Matches do not need to be played on League Play Day to earn points, but they must still be in-store and reported to a store Staff member.

What Format is Lorcana League?

Core Constructed!

  • Best 2 out of 3 games
  • No sideboarding between games
  • Loser of the previous game decides who plays first.
  • - Randomly assign who has option in Game 1.

Optional rules taken from a Gen Con tournament:

  • 50 minute matches
  • Overtime only if on Game 3 or 1.
  • - Overtime on Game 2 gives win to winner of Game 1.
